Kennisis Lake (haliburton)

Thinking of renting a cottage there this summer. Has anyone ever been there? and whats the fishing like?

I come from up there originally. We have a hunting camp and the ground we hunt is next to Kennisis. 30 0r 40 years ago the lake trout fishing was excellant in both big and little Kennesis. A friend that has a cottage on Big Kennisis tells me he still does quite well on the lakers. In the last few years there has been a good Bass fishery. The Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve is right there and and for $15.00 per person per day you can get access to 65,000 acres and a ton of lakes offering Lakers, Rainbows, Splake, Speckles and Large and Smallmouth Bass.
