took a couple 1st timmers out for an evening troll. They never been on the lake before. Never been in a boat, never fished for or caught walleye..?.. winds looked ok..shouldnt be rough.. sure let's go see what we can do.
Started the spread at 6pm in 40fow. 5&6color lead on inline boards. 2 5color strait back and 2 dipsy on 0.5 out 50-65ft.
Not 1 bite til 58fow. Small laker off the board with gold RRF. Then nothing till 65. a double both boards and a dipsy hit but didn't stay pinned, almost a triple! Did another pass over same stretch another double. Spun around again and 4 lead lines start to curl over & shake, 3stay pinned. Marvalous! Keep cranking boys!
finished at 930 with 18 gems. Lost at least 6 at the boat. 20190721_232047.jpg Lost a small laker. 2whitebass and 1 sheep. Many hits that just didnt hook up or stay hooked up.
Best rig by far for us was 5&6 off boards with gold RRF's. Followed by the 2 5color strait back sporting copper stingers in greasy chicky wing. Not much off the dipsy but a few mostly while set out 50ft.
Best day I have had this year out of the coke. Best day of fishing them grnhorns had ever seen. Beginner's luck perhaps.

Temp was 70° at 40fow & 72-73° in the 60fow range.

Sounds like there must be two more people now addicted to fishing ! 65' was where we found the best bite. Funny we had no luck on the lead core or RRF in the afternoon, dipsys & spoons worked for us.
Down riggers and cheater lines for bows and lakers.
Gotta Love Nanticoke

2.2-2.7. Trolled south - north. Never did go east west. Once we hit i tried to stay right on them. Going not much further then 1/4mile before turning around.

Crazy, 2 dozen boats out there yesterday, most got some, some more than others, and everyone got something on everything, at every depth...

Anyone good with spread sheets, or some kind of flow chart?
Its hard remembering what worked were and when with what..
