Off Topic Ice Fishing Sled

2 years ago I bought a big Otter Cabin flip over hut. I was determined to pull the weight of it plus my auger, gear, lunch, heater, propane, underwater camera and fish finder out on the ice to fish. this did not go so well. I decided to build a “smitty” which worked great until the screws started pulling out and the wood started to swell. A good friend of mine owns a CNC machine shop and we started printing blades and ski risers from HDPE. After 2 years of prototyping we are happy to announce our secret. This is the scout. Entirety rust proof, light and able to add a handle to push or kick as Weill asattachments such as an auger holder, rod holders and cup holder (the cup holder is surprisingly handy for your coffee at 5 am).

The blade can travel at 20 km/hr with one person pulling or pushing. The front can be equipped with a tongue to pull with a machine. The width can be changed to accommodate all tubs.

That does look cool , living my whole life between port Rowan and st. Williams I’ve seen some crazy ideas for ice fishing transportation and shelter , I still like checking out ice huts , everyone has there own ideas of what will work best to for them , years ago I seen a guy going across the bay standing in a Sled holding the handles of a front tine rototiller , and it was working to pull him along the ice faster than walking , good luck on selling them , I’d bet Woodward’s would let you advertise one in there bait shop

So it’s ultra light T-slot. It is not anodized. For Anodized we would be in a very unrealistic price point but this is top quality, rust proof easy to assemble and solid.
