I've found a few productive spots outside the sanctuary, easily getting 10-13" perch. I might try minnows in the channel tomorrow now that it's open.

@Extra Virgin … Good luck, l’ve been perching inner bay and shi..y hawk but not much luck. One of these days will be my turn at the cleaning table. HAG1….

We landed 7 smallies, was out from 7 am till noon, moved around a lot. Could see the fish but were very spooky. Picked up most of the fish in the first 2 minutes of moving and setting down. None of the fish had any eggs or milk in them . Flat clear water may have been an issue. No sure If the best is yet to come or its over?
Started about 8am. We usually troll had a huge one soon after starting close to the boat but ethier broke line or knot. Gone. Quit at 9:30 with 2 smallies. What surprised me this year, was that we caught 6 pumpkin seeds? Trolling. 2.7 to 3 mph. Must have been hungry little bastards.
Went over to the weeds for an hr and pulled 3 large mouth out by 10:30. Had to pack it in cause we had a wedding to attend at 3pm.
. But the wife pulled a 4 lb large out. Could have been more the battery was dead on the scale.
