Two of us headed out this morning at 7:30 a.m. and went about 1.5 miles west of Port Bruce. We setup in 57 feet and trolled SW into 58 feet. There was a slight chop in the morning with overcast skies. We went 6 for 8 on the rainbows and there were not any walleye today for us. We fished in the same area as last Saturday with the best luck in 58-58.5 feet of water about 2.5 miles west of Port Bruce. The fish hit the following colors:

Nascar took 3 fish and lost 1 on 4 color core, rigger and small dipsey out 135 on 2 setting
2 inch spoon on downrigger cheater purple/silver took one fish
Caramel dolphin in Dreamweaver SS one fish on 5 color core
Yeck Jerry Lee 221 in 3.75 inch size took one fish on 4 color core
Yeck #280 Blueberry Muffin took one fish on 4 color core

Surface temps were about 68.5-69 degrees
Temp at 40 feet was 63 degrees
Temp at 48 feet was 54 degrees

Tightlines,

John

Good shootin' man. Sounds like the steelheads are really kicking in. Pretty amazing that at 40 feet the temp was only 5 degrees lower than the surface. No thermocline has set up much yet, we need some heat!!
