Lots of boats out there today and the lake was calm and the walleye were really biting this morning. Fished with a buddy and had limit in just over 2 hours. Only one farm animal and no silver bass, that's hard to believe after the last few weeks. Fished in 65-66 feet just east of Stanley and the fish were marking from 47-51 feet down. We used 4 lead cores 9 colors with Reef Runners in small and large lips. The best colors were purple/pink, gold/black and chart/orange.

Stats:
Surface temp 66.5 degrees
Downtemp at 50 feet was 63 degrees ( this was about 68-70 for a few weeks)
Best speed on GPS 2.4-2.6
Best trolling pattern was heading west along the contour line from 65-66 feet
Marked more fish many other days but today they were hungry

Tightlines,

John

Is there such a thing as catch and release in this lake when it comes to Walleye? Just jealous, save a few for us rookies using bamboo rods and bobbers.

last 3 weeks port stanley is just as good.... plenty of big spawned out hungry females for easy limits using 10 colour lead core and Blue and Silver ripplin redfins
