Was lucky enough to be the guest of Big Dave on the maiden voyage of 2011 to the perch grounds off Hastings. The fish were there but they were finicky. The crew managed around 60 or 70 good-sized fish. Surface temp was 51 degrees. I suspect the bite will improve with warming water temps. Great day on the water. We need more days like Saturday!
