On the water by 9:00 , started off a little east of the pack of boats and we were getting the odd one but the bite was slow , moved west almost down to port Rowan . And the fishing really picked kept 44 off the water by noon, girlfriend landed a decent pike , , counted more than 40 boats , fall perch fishing still great , go get em , forgot to take many pics today 7C179236-0DA5-48F4-BE57-F2D3E689FE95.jpeg

We were in the pack just west of Colin's this morning. Started there which was slow, then went St William's was with no luck there then backrest of Colin's. Ended the day with 23 with quite a few throw backs along with rock bass but no pike. Was a good first experience for the both of us having never fished the area before but will definitely be heading back in the future.

Went out for a bit Sunday (Halloween) for a couple of hours at around 1pm. Very much West of where the rest of the boats were...

Caught about 15 keepers, scaled them with a tool this time.. last time I use the butter knife and my hand got so tired after about five fish I had to stop and fillet the rest.
Thank goodness I picked up the tool very happy get them all cleaned up this time! going to have a fish fry tonight or tomorrow with my parents :)

Yakfisherman:

I am sure we were in somewhat close proximity to your boat at some point between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. when the wind made things too miserable to stay out any longer 🌊. I was in and out of that cluster of boats off Collins as well with a buddy from work. We managed 20 keepers, 1 pike break off and 1 minnow-thieving gull break off (they peel off line like a salmon on the run by the way - I have never flown a live kite before). We must have tossed about 4 or 5 times as many wee fellas back to become future jumbos. I was going to post a report last night, but by the time I got home, ate and took care of my "candy giver-outer" duties 🍬🍫🍭 and then cleaned the catch, I was just too bagged to do it 🤤. Congrats and tight lines 🎣 too all on the bay and elsewhere still chasing fish. Happy belated Hallowe'en to every one 🎃👻. Below are pics of the day's haul and one of the pumpkins on our porch from last night's festivities.
