Great Weekend!

We hunted a LOCAL spot this weekend.

On Saturday 2 of us arrived to find the water covered in ice. After some work we managed to clear enough to entice 8 Mallards and 2 Blacks to join us in the blind,

Sunday was a different story. The pond was clear and the wind was blowing. Myself,Old Cut Longpointer and Brent hit em in the first 30 minutes. 16 Mallards and 2 Blacks. Done by 7:30.

Here s a pic of a flock working the decoys as we picked up. Never had so many birds decoy as we did this morning.

All in all, A great year!

Looks like a great weekend guys! I would love to get into the birds like that. The only good hunts I have had this year have been for divers.
