Great Lakes Ice Cover, most in 20 years...

Here's a shot from space for February 12th. Big difference in the outer Bay now without Nanticoke GS's warm water.

It looks like Lake Ontario(Top Right) is not even Frozen over yet. Does anyone know why Not? This Winter is suppose to be the worst in 20 year`s for Cold Weather and Record Snowfall. Just Curious. Thank-You In Advance.

Thanks stomp. I was also thinking likely it was because Lake Ontario is the Deepest of the Great Lake`s, for not freezing over totally, but Lake Superior is also very Deep, but of course a lot further North.:)

The article claims Global warming or Climate change is the cause of the Great Lakes freezing up.
Must work the same like when you put frozen dinner in oven, turn the heat up and after 15 min your frozen dinner will be twice as frozen.
