Looked like it off of Hastings late this morning.

I seen a picture of portdover. The water was way past calahans up around st George st.

Long Point will live on but I fear for all the cottage/homeowners down there. Since the settlers arrived there has been two recorded Cuts {1837 & 1865 approx.} and from what I've seen from those old British Admiralty Charts the areas affected are where the bulk of the people have built. It is a possibility that with the trees that have been planted and the structures {seawalls & houses} that have been built may help in deflecting a lot of the force from a storm but my money is on Mother Nature. It might not happen this coming Friday as per forecasts show strong winds but there can and will be worse storms. Anyone remember December 1985 ? If predictions hold true and the lake levels are even higher next year I doubt putting up a SOS {Save our shores} sign is going to be your salvation.

At 9 am yesterday's smart bouy off Stanley was transmitting thease stats so you know the seich was on its way to rise the eastern portion of lake Erie

They're calling for 50 knot gusts early tomorrow morning so if you want to go fishing in a great walleye chop be at the Port Glasgow dock by 7 am. ? Suggest you bring some Gravol Stomp!:LOL:

Waves might be breaking over those Muskoka Chairs at your lookout @Wave Runner . Maybe you should go down there now and move them back a bit from the edge.
