I have a question. I have looked around online and can’t seem to find anything on this.. I am taking my dad fishing tomorrow and he is over 65 and I know he doesn’t need a license but what would he be under a sportsman or a conservation .. just something I never thought..

From page 6/7 of the regs,
Deemed Licences

Some Ontario and Canadian residents qualify to use other documents instead of purchasing and carrying an Outdoors Card and Recreational Fishing Licence. Catch and possession limits for a Sport Fishing Licence apply in these situations.

A person listed below may engage in fishing provided that they carry a licence, permit, certificate or identification card issued by a federal, provincial or territorial government of Canada that indicates their name and date of birth, and meet the following criteria: 1. Individuals who are under 18 or 65 years of age or older. 2. Individuals who have been issued an accessible parking permit under the Highway Traffic Act. A valid permit, black

and white photocopy or printed version of the accessible parking permit are also required to be carried. 3. Individuals who require the direct assistance of another person to fish and to follow applicable laws due to a disability defined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The accompanying person does not require a fishing licence if they are only assisting, but must have a licence if they wish to engage in fishing. 4. Individuals who have been issued a national identity card by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). Government issued identification is not required when carrying a CNIB national identity card. Work is underway to amend fishing regulations so veterans and active Canadian Armed Forces members who reside in Ontario can enjoy free recreational fishing by early 2019. For more information on this initiative please call the Natural Resources Information and Support Centre at 1-800-387-7011 or 1-800-667-1940.

Frau Blücher just turned 65 this year [she still looks drop dead gorgeous in a bikini] and she's handling it relatively good with minimal drama and when I told her she wouldn't need a fishing license because she was old she threw a couch at me,,, well I guess I had it coming,,, would a picture of her driver's license kept on my cell phone be ok?

Red Green: "Vegetarian" is an old Indian word
meaning "I don't hunt so good."

From what I posted earlier---

I'm thinking that the answer to your question is no because although it does say a photocopy or printed version of certain documents (as mentioned above) is acceptable, it also clearly says those documents have to be carried. To be sure tho, give them a call 519-773-9241 and ask. My guess would be that they're going to tell you she has to have it with her to produce it when asked for the same reason it wouldn't be acceptable to just produce a photo of a driver's license on a cell phone if a cop pulled you over.
