Went to a small GB river on the weekend. The river was lower than usual for this time of the year but the water had some color to it. Lost one fish on a bead and got a dark male on roe. The fish fought hard and was not slim like a typical dropback. Decided to keep it and the meat turned out orange and fatty. Not a bad start for my river fishing this fall.
