Fishing Report Fat fish

A lot of the fish we catch lately are extremely fat! Surprised they can even swim fast enough to catch the bait hahaha

Was a good time on the water yesterday
We did switch up baits and depths a bunch to find what was working.

Ended up finding fish deep 45-55 feet down in 65-68 feet of water.

The walleyes I cleaned last night were the fattest ever , nice thick fillets . I found no contents in thier stomachs . Previous outtings we found small perch in them .

Thanks for the photo's and info Derkd9. I also noticed on my last 2 limits that the fish were very fat. At first glance, I thought they were females full of eggs but not so...just very well fed eyes! Just got the drive line fixed on the truck and now ready to salvage the rest of my holidays. Hope to see you out there some time this week.
Now...if only the lake would settle down.

If she is going to be bumpy all week, I will likely head up to the Muskoka region and hang out on a few little puddle lakes somewhere up there. It's a "live aboard" so all good. Only draw back, I left my floating fire pit back in Radium...bummer.

Can’t go wrong up there I wish I still had vacation time to take to go up North
Last two weeks that I have are reserved for hunting tho.
