Epoxy coat

Thinking of getting an apoxy coat on the boat instead of anti fouling paint every spring. Anyone have a recommendation for a place?

Just did this last spring. I did it myself putting the boat on jack stands and removing the trailer and just used a roller. My boat mechanic recommended using 3 coats of Pettit protect high build 2 part epoxy. I was very happy with the results and still did a coat of anti foul afterwards to keep the algae down.

My boat rubbed the dock unnoticed last fall and wore right through the gel coat into the fiberglass. Our well known local marine dealer in Simcoe recommended Inter Bay Refinishing in Port Rowan. They did a great repair and also painted the bottom. $45 a foot for the bottom coat. That included sanding, primer and bottom coat. Interlux products. Kevin does great work, he matched the colour perfectly.

Amazing work there Scotts! Congrats.

Sorry, it was $45 per linear foot plus materials. $450 for the primer and bottom coat. 23' hull.

This is interesting. Does this help to water seal a fibreglass hull?
