Well I guess I figured out what I was doing wrong when trying to land bows. When I’d get one on I’d tighten the drag right up and start cranking it in. Today I tried being a bit more gentle, keeping the drag loose and letting it run if it wants to. Landing percentage went way up. Went unknown for 6 on bows (maybe 9/6? Wasn’t really counting misses) and 2/2 on walleye. Trout came on nascar and orange and eyes liked purple. Sarah would like to brag that she was the one who said to use nascar and it was the one that saw action all afternoon.

One of the trout had a hooked mouth. Haven’t seen that before. That one weighed 7 lbs 1 oz.0c8d38b1-12e9-488f-988c-cf55d6893ab3.jpegIMG_2265.jpeg
That small trout was delicious pan seared for dinner.

Beauty day on the bay!
