Marinated 2 lbs of deer jerky over night in soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and course steak seasoning, put it on smoker at 8:45 this morning at 170.

It took 5 hrs at 170 I like hickory smoke for any red meat

I do mine in a gas oven at 100 f and it takes a day and a half. I also marinate mine in a concoction of things for 7 days before jerking.
