SMB aren't in season yet (On Erie anyways) therefore you wouldn't be able to brag about it, so congratulations on your big Sheepshead!

There was a nice smallie caught off the pier in Pt Bruce today real close in to shore on the beach side. The guy who caught it didn't know and was disappointed when I told him it was out of season until this Saturday and it had to go back.

They are delicious when done on a cedar plank. BBQ it on high for 16 hours, baste it with honey and brown sugar, scrape the sheep head off and eat the plank.

I agree, it was good fun fighting it, just didn't think you could (or would) eat them. Here is the one with my foot beside it for size comparison (size 10.5 shoe)
