So here I am all week cleaning the boat, checking everything twice, changing line, organizing tackle, sharpening hooks like a razor and all the things you do to prepare oneself for a good fishing trip. This will be the second shot at going to LSC this month. And trying our luck for those now World famous LSC Esox, fancy work real fisher folks that toss 5 pound bricks use for Muskellunge. We had to cancel due to old age already this month and we really are not that old. I've been peeking at the wind predictions all week and it isn't getting better for the beginning of next week, it's getting worse. Now it's calling for high 50 KPH winds and rain. Come On Man!!! Dorothy grab that Dog. We can't win for trying. The only solace is knowing it's not just my bad luck, we who want to fish are all sharing this windy year of 2016. If I had a Toonie for every time we got blown off this lake I would have a few bags full, maybe enough to fly somewhere there isn't a Hurricaine. Now we are getting blown off St. Clair. I am going to need some expensive meds if this continues into 2017.

If it's 60KPH on the main lake what would I find on the river? I will have to call 1st mate and see how far we would have to go to get to the Thames exactly.
 
You are absolutely right @Red Gator, but I am told I have a better chance of catching one at LSC. Not a bad idea, not bad at all. I have a few free nights at the Seneca Casino too.
 
From what I see tomorrow looks like a very fishable day for St. Clair at Lighthouse Cove with the moderate offshore winds. You only need to fish in 10-12 fow which is not far out at all. There may be some musky in the mouth of the river as well.

After Friday it sure doesn't look good.

Yea watch Dave, as soon as I hook up the trailer a Hurricane warning is issued for Lake Erie. 62 years ago Hurricane Hazel hit Hamilton, and I was born that week, co incidence? I don't think so. The amount of Hot Metal produced from a Blast Furnace is based on how much "wind" is blown into a furnace. Wind follows me everywhere and I've been known to blow hot air too. Where are you getting minnows @Fish Farmer? Maybe Monday, Waterford Pumpkin Festival this weekend. It looks like no way we are going west now.
 
weather network says south west 30 km/h for monday. anything out of the south your laughing on LSC. enjoy your trip. Thames, Detroit and Belle River all have fish already. if the water is clear use a bait that resembles shad or walleye, if its dirty fish your black or brite colour baits.

Been lucky getting them at Erie Tracker, some nice big minnows good for cutting up using chunks. The Dunker is going out there today. Talked on the phone with him yesterday.
Going to the Cats game today or I'd be out there, winds look good for today.
Doing the Caledonia Walleye derby tomorrow.
 
I hope he didn't better than the Cats. Man from watching it sounded like there was no one at the game. This whats kills me about the CFL, it's possible for a 8-10 team to make the playoffs.
