I have just picked up 2 18" tracks from Angling Sports, there are no mounting instructions with it. I drilling into a fiberglass boat. Looking for some advice to make the holes, I don't want the fiberglass to have spider cracks. Should the bit be the same size as the screws or a size smaller, I am looking for any assistance. Thank you

@fishin fool i believe I used a 3/16 drill bit. But before you install the screws that came with it, chamfer the hole and this will eliminate any spider cracking. I installed three 4’ tracks on my boat.

I would also silicone the hell out of them when you screw them down the silicone will hold them in place as much as the screws. Also ensure you clean both surfaces well before mounting the silicone will adhere better.
