Couldn't resist the flat water at Burwell tonight. Got on the water at 7:15 and fished to 9:30 straight out of Port in 58 ft. Landed our 12 fish. Every one were the smaller size but sure do make great table fare! No a big one made it to the boat. 4/5/6/7 colours did the trick. Gold rippling redfins was the ticket.

The wife and I were also out in 52 feet of water. Got 6 keepers from 16 to 20 inch. Through back 8 between 14-16 inch also got 1 rainbow 5 lbs Also through back a 14 inch trout. All on dippsy diver. Fishing 30 feet. Watermelon dippsy was hitting the best. Going to fire up the smoker this weekend!

Good job guys.......we are back at it Sat. 14-16" fish were what we caught most last summer during the later part of Aug and September.

Was pretty sure they would turn on in the evening. Bite was hot before it got bright and sunny Tuesday morning but by 9:00 am only the lines that were furthest from the boat fired. Most of the fish were also small but I much prefer that size over the jumbo eyes.

Agree Duck Soup. All of our fish were very high in the water column. Great opportunity for fishermen to catch fish just with an inline planer board and a hot lips diving 20 to 30 ft. Just got to get lines away from the boat.!

We also got out yesterday after work started in 46ft went as far out as 54ft we were off the water shortly after 8 with 5 fish in the box. Dipsy's on #3 setting back 85-115ft downriggers at 50 and 30ft flat lines out 300+ blueberry muffin, copper back Nascar, greasy chicken and body baits all seem to be working good. 4 out of the five were good size eaters 16-20" and one big monster 10-11lbs

Thanks for the update! My guess is the larger fish are in closer to shore from where I was fishing.
