north winds are off shore winds, so close in it should be an almost if not flat lake, but that doesn't necessarily mean a flat lake in deeper water. The further out you go and the stronger the wind, even if it's coming out of the north, the more likely it is to be a bit bumpy. I always try to get my butt to the pier in Bruce when the winds are forecast to be what they are tomorrow and Thursday because it should be nice and flat. BUT, every time I go, they've mostly been wrong not only in wind direction, but strength lol.how would a north wind help...just asking..
