Forgot to mention the last fish I was bleeding while cutting it, it started to jump and my finger found out how sharp the knife was, good thing we had Kleenex and electrical tape.
its good to keep a small first aid kit on board including a selection of water proof bandages and antibacterial spray..handling fish cutting the hands as well as hooks, knives, pruners pliers happens...Iam sure many can relate to hooks can be the most dangerous..wearing sunglasses have been also safety glasses for flying hooks at the boat..
if your not careful with cuts they can fester and become painful..you want to avoid getting infection..
