Hit the water around 5:30 pm and headed SE and dropped the lines at 48'. 15 minutes to get the first nice walleye on a greasy chicken wing 120 back on 3 setting and lose it at the boat. Two minutes later we had a weak stomach on the boat. Back to port we go.
This time SW to 55' where we brought in 5 fish within 2 mins of setting the 7 color core each time. Brought in another 5 on this setup. Black/pink willowleaf harness trolled at 3.1 mph. The kids were right on that one. Nothing else worked on the leadcore rod.
Above dipsy setup took 7 fish which were all the largest fish too. Another 4 came in on a perch with gold back spoon.
Riggers took 2 fish with black gold ripplin redfins back 70 and down 30.
Brought home a dozen for dinner and released the rest. I think we went 23/27 using 4 rods.
1/4 length of worm on each lure seemed to really entice them. They were inhaling the harnesses.
Stayed until dark and practically had the lake and ramp to ourselves.
