Remember someone posting about a lost downrigger

was just talking to a guy who was fishing last Saturday out of Burwell who caught a cannonball and some leadcore

not sure if he got the downrigger too but I can inquire

Is it fair to assume this was a result of cutting too close to the stern of another boat?

Never had it happen but would be pretty annoyed. Why I like to fish away from the pack

No idea sounded like they were just snagged off the bottom or close too
He didn’t say anything about any boats close by
