I've had 1 since 2008, and touch wood it's been a great motor.

I bought mine three years ago , great motor , I got an 8 year warranty and we will see how that works out . I have to say I am kind of pissed off !

I just bought a new Lund 16 ssv with a 40 hp Etec and have yet to put it in the water figures

I just reread that press release, they blame it on coved 19 ( lame ) and are going into more boat production . They also said they are still working on outboard motor Technology ( project ghost ) What a crock of ?

BRP only bought Evinrude for the ETEC technology for their Ski Doo division.

Well we'll have to see..... I put the brand new 200 ETEC on my brand new Striper last year (2019) I will be contacting my dealer to see what's what. This motor is everything & more than I hoped for gas mileage amazes me!!
