Boat cleat rod holder mount?

Trying to figure out how to get rod holders on my Chaparral bowrider. There's no easy way but if I could figure out a way to mount it to my boat cleats , that would be problem solved. The sides are way too narrow to mount holders on.

I also have a Chapparal bow rider and I mounted Scotty rod holders on the bow rails in front of the wind shield. I don't use down riggers. They are accessible and easy to see while driving

Not sure how your setup is, I have a piece of 2x6 (wrapped in duck tape to look good), attached the rod holder and the riggers on it and I attach it to the rear cleats with hooks and wing nuts. If you are interested I can take a picture and share.

Might want to take couple pictures ...might be easier for people to make suggestions

one thought I have is too put rails down the side (like what allot of older boats have at front) and use the scotty rail mount rod holders.

or if too narrow on top ...you may have to mount bases on the inside of boat

I made some cleat mounts up out of 1-1/4" box iron with a rectangle plate welded to the top that scotty surface mounts bolted to, cut a slot out of the bottom of the box iron and drill a hole through the side with a clevis pin, slide the box iron slot over the cleat and pinned the back side. worked great, c channel or u channel would have worked too with one clevis pin in the side through the middle of the cleat hole, if you can weld or have a buddy who can weld its pretty simple design the pics are before i weld the plate ontop for the scotty mounts to bolt to

A buddy with a glass bowrider installed 6 of these on his boat they work great endless possibilities of rod and rigger mounts mounts for them on amazon as well,
