Bass fishing for pike - July 18

I hit the bay first thing this morning for bass. Looking for Largemouth. A lot of my spots were very stained. Caught one of decent size and about 10 runts. Pike everywhere. Got the decent bass on top water. Then I lost two toads and a fluke to pike. Tried deep weeds and caught small bass, rock bass, and a load of pike. RIP to 4 good hooks and tungsten weights. Largemouth fishing has been a bit frustrating for me this year. A couple. Good days and the rest has been a tough fishing or crap weather.

That sounds pretty much like the day we had today , few bucket mouths but mostly pike brought couple smaller pike home for dinner , the bay was nice today , few to many bugs , and the water a little stained , but nice and flat

Bass fishing hasn't been great so We decided to go for some cats never caught a channel cat so wanted to knock it off my list. Caught one within 15 mins of stopping
