why would one buy bait at wells then drive to booths harbour wen betwen booths & fin & feather on the front road is a large bait shop lake erie bait & tackle just wondering

Not everyone who fishes the lake, lives on the lake. Plus Wells has been around much longer.

why would anyone buy bait at all this time of year when a couple tosses of a minnow net into the water at the pier in dover brings in lots of minnows there.....

just my opinion.

Some folks may have physical disabilities which prevent them from catching their own minnows, and not everyone goes to Port Dover..

There is no bait shop in Turkey Point anymore so if that is your destination then Wells is the ticket.. and when I was down in TP last week there were no minnows to be seen.
