Yo Ferg; Wed.April 2, The wind opened up the center and most of the west end of the Bay over night, pushed it over to EC5&6, east of Millionaires . Along the shore here at Booth's and along the Turkey Point Marsh, except for a wet spot where the marsh drains, the ice is still fast. Watched an eagle, just now, flushing the birds along the ice edge 'till she isolated a single Coot and for 10 or 15 minutes relentlessly swooped at it 'till the coot could only dive for a few seconds. The eagle short shifts the next few dives, grabs the coot, holds it under the water drowning it. Then the eagle takes off out of the water swoops back picks up her coot and drags it back to the ice for breakfast. Joined quickly by 2 others which she fended off and is now finishing up. The two huts left right out from Booth's by those two caring individuals are still visible.
