Algae Bloom in the western basin.

Well it looks like my trolling season is done.About mid August the past two summers in a row we have had a MONSTER algae bloom
Here is a satalite picture from a couple days ago.

That is crazy how well the bloom shows up on satillite. Hopefully these cooler nights will lower the water temps and slow this down.

Weather network mentioned a lake in the kawarthas showed a pic on the tv and the toxic blue green algae looked brutal no swiming advisory weath net said. So too much heat and fertilizer not good for water.w
