The other half wanted a Mediterranean cruise for her 60th last year. I'm like, Mediterranean cooking? Hell yeah. So many delightful, delicious dishes its gonna take years to revist. Today, I decided it was a good day to revist Tuscany, Florence in particular. On the coach on the drive into Florence they described a tenderloin raw beef called Carpaccio. Sounded delicious, and it was. Our 1/2 side of beef we had in the freezer includes a few ounces of tenderloin, and tonight we tested our skills. Nowhere near as good as the plaza cafe, but not too damn bad. Followed up with shrimp in garlic and rosemary over authentic Italian pasta from La Bodega. And, it was good. .
