After scoring minnows from lake Erie bait & tackle we were off to the races. Got to the bluffs bar around 5pm. Moved after 15mins in 1st spot to 20fow over a noticeable bed of high standing weeds, Game on minutes after the 1st line went down. Water was Crystal clear, easily see bottom with the naked eye down 20ft. 
Iced 93perch. A bunch of shorts went back and lots got a free minnow for trying.
1 heavy pike around 33" which went back has we got our fill of pike on Monday. Couple big fish that didnt stay pinned, Another bowfin and some red eyes to end the day.
4 other boats in the area fishing a touch closer to the bar and they too was pulling fish top side rather consistently.
Take a few scoops worth if you make the run out. Gobs of fish out there,lots of mouths to feed.
