Fishing Report Lake St. Clair Meat Haul

Went out yesterday with my dad and we trolled some spinners at slow speeds for walleye and got some perch + white bass in the mix too. We went out of Jeanettes creek and headed east towards Stoney point.

Some smaller walleye came a little shallower (14-15 feet) along with some perch but we got into the eater sized walleye when we pulled out a little deeper to 17-18 feet of water.

Trolling my homemade spinners were the ticket… tried a crankbait but only perch were hitting it. Spinners had a full worm on the back and ones with glow beads seemed to be working better.

Spinners or worm/walleye harness, nothing too fancy, just some painted blades and various colours of beads. They worked well though and it’s fun to make them!

I have some in-line spinners I’ve made too, but those are for casting the rivers

I'm likely not going to be the only one wondering, but how big was that perch? Looks like an absolute hog next to them walleye!!!

Yeah it was really thick but it was actually only 12 inches long… it does look massive aha! Also it surprisingly hit a big ass Bandit bait lol
