Any smelt yet ?

I know it's a little early but with the warmer winter and little ice cover wondering if anyone has seen any smelt yet ?

Wait for a Full moon ? Haven't seen a decent smelt run on Lake Erie in many a year but remember good runs up on the East side of Lake Simcoe to be had.

The run is on....we'll maybe more like a very slow walk. Spent a bit of time before sunset on the Bruce pier. Beautiful evening, got 5 smelt on the first few dips. Now, I'm excited. Zilcho after that. Attached picture shows the fruits of my labour. With only 5 smelt in the pail, I decided to do c&r smelting tonight. It was worth the drive to see that gorgeous sunset though.

Lovely moon this morning and with the creeks flow settling down you might find a good run.
