No Groundhog to be seen,( lol ),at the Fanshawe Lake area yesterday, while I was going for a bit of a hike, and enjoying my morning ️ coffee there. With the groundhog predicting 6 more weeks of winter still here in Southwestern,Ontario,it doesn’t look like though, that Fanshawe Lake will be freezing over this winter anytime soon, like in the previous few year’s,to be able to do some ice fishing there for myself & other angler’s,like in the past year’s. With milder temperatures and rain being forecasted for next week,I and perhaps @Extra Virgin and others, will likely be walleye fishing the Thames River, etc.,soon,(too low right now),once the river’s that have a migration of walleye’s,become “favourable” for a walleye run. Enjoy the rest of the 6 week’s of winter here in Southwestern Ontario, whatever you may be doing, wether it is skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing,Family Day Event- Feb.20/23,Fanshawe Conservation Park, etc.,or even ice fishing,up North, such as Lake Simcoe, etc.,where the ice could be safer. Be Safe & Cheers! ️
