Fishing Report Probably the final kick at perching

Slow day but an enjoyable day with my oldest son. Dylan had another opportunity to mess around with a pike. It come in and miss the jig 3-4 times before he finally hooked it and lost it right at the hole. But it came back again only to take another swipe at it and then that was it.

Hopefully @Three Bouys that this isn’t your final kick at perching this year!! The ice fishing season has just began!! lol A beautiful looking perch as well caught by Dylan . I need to get me one of those cameras,( I always thought that it was cheating!! lol ),because it looks very entertaining to be watching what fish,such as this pike for instance,was taking swipes at Dylans jig.Too bad that Dylan didn’t end up catching the pike. I am amazed though,on how many times the pike did come back to try and bite at Dylans jig!! Be Safe & tight lines!!

I think I’m gonna call it a season too , might walk out this coming weekend, but I pulled my big hut off on Monday , if I get back out I’ll switch to using the clam

Very busy yesterday indeed @Yakfisherman and even though @Jumbojim and myself didn’t walk all the way to the pressure crack,we are glad that we didn’t,only because we talked to a few angler’s that did fish that area,and they said that the perch fishing was slow,and the water was murky!! How did you make out ice fishing yesterday @Yakfisherman ? Thanks in advance.

I need to get a ATV for next year to get out there that far!! But,who knows what the winter will be like next year for safe ice!! We have been lucky for the last 2 year’s for some ice fishing,but mostly short ice fishing season’s.

This weekend was our 7th weekend out , if we can head out next weekend, I think 8 weeks is a good season, last year only lasted 6
