I accepted another invite from my good friend @Extra Virgin to go perch fishing on Long Point Bay today. I was picked up early by @Extra Virgin in front of my house & off we went to buy minnows first at Lake Erie Bait & Tackle . Excellent size minnows & a great price for $8 a scoop.We ended up launching out of Shady Akers for $20. A busy place there first thing in the morning.After launching @Extra Virgin boat,it was then off to the perch grounds, where @Extra Virgin had a “Perch Honey Hole” plotted on his Fish Finder.There we stayed all day,because of the steady perch action,with some great catches of jumbo size perch. After fishing for around 8 hours & almost a livewell full of perch & also running out of minnows,it was time to go home.We ended up keeping 58 perch & throwing back such as many under 9 inches in length. Thanks again @Extra Virgin for the invite today & as always,I had a great time fishing with you again. Till the next time my friend & enjoy your perch fry as much as I will enjoy mine!!

It took a few days for a fish fry as I forgot to give the fryer an oil change on the weekend. It also took time to clean all those fish but it was well worth the sorting at the lake! I think I'll have 3-4 meals from my half of the jumbo's to feed a family of four

Such an amazing day of fishing with only one nuisance hammer handle pike off my line. Couldn't have asked for a better day out fishing on the bay. Found some more underwater photos and of course tonight's dinner
