There's been a couple hundred swans in behind my work in courtland all week
And seen lots south of forestville today, Plus a bunch of Robbins, and struttin' toms!
Sure signs of spring I'd say!
There were between 160 and 220 Tundra Swans behind my house nearly everynight during the winter with even more throughout the inner bay area. I also saw large numbers near Port Rowan and over towards St. Williams.
As previously mentioned in another thread I counted 642 Tundra Swans from inside my house on February 18 which was one week after that Big Chill when about 90% of the inner bay turned to ice!
These guys never migrated any further south.
See my reports under the Canvasbacks and Redheads thread.
