In some circles, it’s called a ‘”red light” food (one that is high in fat or sugar or salt and has little nutritional value) and in other circles it’s called a “comfort food”(one that has a feeling of well-being and typically has a high sugar or carb content). For me, it’s Caramel Corn.
I took that bag of ‘Skinny Pop’ popcorn from the pantry, added a whack of home-made brown sugar syrup, and voila, caramel corn - my snack of choice tonight.
