I'm considering a walkaround in Connecticut. Great shape one owner 2006 always rack stored VS in the water. Low hours 4.3l Merc I/O dealer maintained with all the service records.
However, the risers and exhaust manifolds have never been changed. The dealership says its because they have not need a change. Ive read in brackish water it should be every 7-10 years.
Opinions on needing to be changed??

I’ve replaced manifolds and risers on a 7.4EFI in a 30’ Pursuit I once owned. Not a bad job. I had lots of room to work which made it nice and parts are easily available. IMO it would be a good piece of preventative maintenance if you where to purchase or an excellent bargaining chip when negotiating the price.
