Although it is rare that we go pike fishing two consecutive days, we did it this week. The water temperature was up to 48F and the fish were more active. We landed 13 in about three hours this morning, all between 3 and 6 pounds. The biggest difference was that we lost as many as we caught. Yesterday we were pretty close to 100%....this morning about 50%. More anglers out there, some trolling and some casting. Didn't notice any caught trolling but did see a nice pike caught and released by a couple of guys pitching whatever from a bass boat. We caught all of ours on jigs which makes releasing them easy.
