At this point predictions show for Saturday 28th East wind at 25 km/h to 30 km/h with clear skies and the Friday report is about the same. Still a week away an Mother Nature can change her mind. The Sunday and Monday reports are about the same East wind at 20 km/h.

Well, other than adding some showers the prediction is pretty accurate. Looks like legal shooting time is 0645hrs with Sunrise at 0715hrs.

Went to the grand river in Dunnville. Got there at 4 45 and only had to wait for a couple ppl but more people were arriving as we were launching. Saw a few birds flying, 2s and 3s, no big flocks other than the geese. Had a bwt short stop us on the right side of the spread. Lots of shooting around us but we only managed 1 Goose.
I tripped on a log and filled my waders adjusting the decoys so I was soaked all morning. It was still a fun opening day.

Had a wet rocknroll ride down the Inner Bay to Jones'se and even got to shoot the gun but nothing to eat. Oh well ... the season has started and there will be better days ahead.
