Sorry for the late post just been busy…
Last Tuesday was a little warm for my liking but you can never shoot something from the couch, as I was finally getting day time pics of a buck I have had around for 5 years and only have 3 daytime pics up to this year. Old matriarch of the farm and this year his horns are telling me he was on the downslope of life. That and for the last 2 weeks he has been on camera in daylight morning and evening. Eating a bushel of apples ever 2 days. So I headed out in my t shirt and sure enough at 6pm he comes slowly strolling in. Waited 15 mins before finally was able to let it fly. Quick recovery and had him hung. The biggest bodied deer to date for me. As I was butchering him up I found a lot of scare tissue in shoulder area maybe from yers of fighting. But At least he won’t be coyote bait.
