Lower Grand Safe?

I was planning on finally getting out on the lake tomorrow but the winds are not cooperating!! I'm thinking of changing plans and going out in the lower grand for some cats but I'm a little worried about the high level and all the surprises under the water line.

Any advice?

New to this forum but I live in Cayuga and it still fairly high and fast here suspect same at Dunnville way ! See a picinic table heading down stream yesterday.
