Last days.. of walleye season

Went out for musky…. Lost 2. Got some by-catch 28-30 inch crisp, cold walleye on 8 inch musky lures. Fished today for just under 2 hours in total (boat and shore). Got to the lake late but had 4 hours of light. 2 hours with lines in water

Video doesn’t do the whipping snow and wind justice.

Doing it again tomorrow but all day.

Shimano Tranx’s froze solid in 10 minutes in the boat.. Pulled the boat back to the “Airbnb” to get some wd-40 from the corner store. Went through half a can of wd-40 to keep the reels working but just decided to fish from shore for the last 45 minutes. Brutal conditions

Tomorrow we have 4 cans of WD-40 and a Costco box of “CL-60”. Sixty cans of coors light for frozen bones afterwards.

The channel has frozen over with skim-ice. Temp dropping so it’s gonna be full-throttle out in the morning. Maybe 6 cans of WD-40

I wondered where you got to viking
Good to see a musky fishing report from you
I wondered Viking with your fishing connection off Samara?..that season is coming up and i am considering my options ..

Maybe your friends know Silverado still up in the mansion on the mountain over Puerto Carrillo..his boat Silverado was moored Samara bay ..I chatted with him just the once on the marine radio. That was something We were both out fishing that morning and then telling me us his 3 hour blue marlin battle and then a breakoff ..

Ya I fished with his deck hand that filled in for my trip on another boat..where are deckhand Jose took that day off

Maybe you could give me a samara update sometime..no rush..
Good luck on the musky
