Has anyone smoked Walleye Fillets?

Just to get away from fried fish all the time. We do some pan seared and baked but am interested in smoking some walleye fillets either with the skin on or off. Not looking for a wet smoke like lox, prefer a cooked and flaky finial product. It will be on a Traeger.

I think it’s too dry of a meat for smoking..
but maybe someone has experience with it..
I smoked a couple perch fillets years ago for fun
It was pretty dry in the end. Still had the tasty flavours tho!

thanks all, seems like this is the wrong way to cook Walleye, we have a bunch of baked and pan fired to last us.

Nice for a change
I can’t share a recipe because we send them to the mother in law who will season them for us. Then we just wrap in foil and toss on the bbq
