The fish weren't cooperating today but I was able to give the boat a good run and set up my trolling outfit. I'm still learning how to read sonar/ down vision. Is this a school of bait fish or a drift of seaweed?

Yes....Larger fish look like hooks...if your transducer is set right..for the angle of your boat in the water when trolling or stationary....
