Look at the smile on the kids face, priceless. I see those nice Wallys are discolored a bit. Mine would do the same thing when I put them in the livewell. I got holy heck from am oldtimer who had the commercial boats in the 90's. He had me fill empty large soda bottles with water and freeze them. Works great and thaw very slowly compared to the expensive ice in a cooler or livewell. I freeze 3 large Coke bottles and 6 or so 750ml. Nice and no colour loss after 5 hrs. Colour loss is the flesh going bad Richard tells me. How do you store them?

Nice ones by the way. Are they ever long.

BTW Calgary 19 Ottawa 17 Half time. Zebras took 2 points away from Red Blacks before the half.

I hear you....I started freezing pop bottles a couple years ago and it works perfectly. Also, being the only one to fillet fish...I started putting perch from the lake right into a cooler of ice and doing the hours of filleting the next day. The fish still look like they just came out of the lake and no bleeding. It also make the day of fishing more enjoyable when you come back in and just kick back with everyone else.

ya i rushed this morning.. no ice only when i got back to port..i had a bag in the freezer just forgot it.. lol
