my dad and i hunted separate fields opening morning and each harvested a nice tom. his was 20lbs with a 10"beard and 3/4" spurs and mine was 21.5 lbs with an 11" beard and 7/8" spurs.
fished from 9-12 out of st williams. ice was about 7" thick were i was out amongst the village of huts. lots of dinks swimming around but no jumbos to be seen. what is going on out there ? just a heads up to all heading down for the licence free weekend it is very slippery out there. cleats...

definately a lot of picking away i use peroxide instead of bleach sure whitenes them up thanks again. other than my time i use about $8 in peroxide (which will definately do more than one skull)so it is definatly cheaper to do it myself anything i've seen on the web ranges between $150 and $200...
hey wads44 its tough making sure you get all stuff out of all the little crevices very time consuming but i love doing it definately worth all the work when you see the finished product. thanks for commenting

yes i did all the work myself. it is definatly time consuming but i love doing it i'm in the process of doing a wolf now can't wait to see how it turns out as i've never done one before. if you have any questions just message me i've done quite a few now. good luck

hello everyone i need to touch up my mallard decoys and just wondering what the best paint to use. if anyone has done this recently, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. hunting season is just around the corner and starting to get the itch.

any time Huron, hopefully next time i will have a mess of perch to include in the photos. it should pick up soon maybe this milder weather will turn their hunger on. lets hope

well i braved the cold today and made the trek from st thomas to st. williams. fished from 830 till 1130. kept zero in fact i didnt even see any large perch. lots of little ones though and very persistant. most of the huts are on the other side of the pressure crack now. not too many people...
fished this afternoon from 1 until 330 out amongst grangers huts fishing was slow to say the least. saw very few fish down the hole and small ones at that. we only caught 1 that was a keeper ended up throwing it back. ice was in good shape. the snow drifts turned a little slushy on the way...
